Is my banking balance information being shared with Raise?

When entering your bank information into the Plaid connector in the Raise App, please note that the account balance displayed (Figure 1 below), is only shown to you in this step to ensure you are choosing the right account to connect—your bank balance is not accessible to Raise (or Plaid), nor is Raise (or Plaid) able to access money in your account. After clicking the proper account you want to connect, note in the App that your information is encrypted and protected from view or access (Figure 2 below). Only your bank routing and account numbers are captured by Raise for the purpose of paying you.

You can also provide the banking information we need to pay you by direct deposit by entering it manually and not connecting through the Plaid connection. In the app, click “Connect Another Way,” and select “Direct Deposit / ACH,” and manually enter the required information. See Figure 3 below:

If you prefer to receive payment in paper check form, there is an option for you to do so in the app. Click “Connect Another Way,” and select “Check” in the payment method drop down. See Figure 4 below:

If you have any questions, or if you would prefer to complete your onboarding over video call, you can email support@raise.team or book a time with us here.
